Britney pays £500,000 custody costs

Britney Spears has already spent a million dollars (£500,000) on legal fees in her child custody case and objects to paying half a million dollars to ex-husband Kevin Federline's lawyers, her lawyer has said.

Attorney Stacy Phillips told a Los Angeles court that Federline's lawyers are entitled to only about 150,000 to 175,000 dollars (£75,000-£87,000).

She also says Federline has the ability to pay his lawyers on his own.

Federline's attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan says the case is unusually complicated and all the billing is legitimate.

Commissioner Scott Gordon has not yet ruled on the matter and the hearing is continuing behind closed doors.

Britney Spears is animated superhero in new video

Pop star Britney Spears releases a music video on Wednesday that features the troubled singer as an animated superhero in a futuristic world.

The music video will premiere on Wednesday on dedicated Web site (www.BlackoutBall.com) at 6:30 p.m. EDT and accompanies her latest single "Break The Ice" -- the third from her 2007 album "Blackout."

The release of the video, along with an upcoming acting role on U.S. television comedy "How I Met Your Mother," marks something of a comeback for Spears, 26, whose career has been sidelined by psychiatric problems and months of bitter child custody battles.

Spears' Jive record company said the video was made in South Korea in Japanese anime style. Spears last year released two singles from the "Blackout" album which has sold more than 2 million copies worldwide but whose commercial success pales in comparison to the singer's heyday six years ago.

In the past year, Spears has been in rehab, lost custody of her sons to ex-husband Kevin Federline and been hospitalized twice for psychiatric evaluation.

Management of her personal and business affairs have now been handed over by court order to her father.

Television executives said on Monday that Spears had been cast in an episode of "How I Met Your Mother." The episode is expected to air on March 24 and according to insiders Spears will play a receptionist in a doctor's office.

Spears got her first role in a prime-time U.S. television series in March 2006 when she played a Christian conservative talk show host in a guest appearance on "Will & Grace."

Victoria Beckham fires off against Britney Spears

THE artist formerly known as Posh Spice has reignited her feud with troubled popster Britney Spears. Just what has ruffled the feathers of the normally serene Mrs Beckham?

Beckham, who first fell out with Spears when the Toxic star reportedly refused to sit next to her at prestigious Los Angeles' hotel Chateau Marmont last year, has now blasted the 26-year-old for not having any personal input into her perfume line.

Speaking about the launch of her new dVb denim range for men, Beckham said: "I'm a complete control freak and I want everything to be perfect. I'm not doing a Britney Spears and just putting my name on something and saying, 'Sell this perfume.'

"This is a real passion of mine. People think all I do is go shopping like a miserable cow, but, in actual fact, I work b****y hard."

The mother-of-three also revealed how she likes her soccer star husband to wear his denims.

She added: "I think guys should wear jeans big and baggy, with a big pair of boots or flip-flops - exactly how you see David when he's out in his jeans and T-shirt.

"Do not pull them up tight and have your bulge showing. Let it hang! I didn't want anything too tight around the crotch. That really repulses me.

It might be fashionable, but you are not going to get that from dVb."

And with an interesting perspective on her own retiring nature, Victoria Beckham also recently revealed she would hate to have Britney Spears' life, adding: "I could never live a life like Britney Spears, who is under the spotlight every day.

"I couldn't do that. I would go stir crazy. I need my privacy with my husband and children, otherwise I'd just go loopy."
